We'd like you to join us in welcoming AIIA (Australian Information Industry Association) in becoming the IT Fund for Kids 2010 primary partner.
For those of you who are new to the IT Fund, it was established in 2000 as a national fundraising initiative supported by Australia’s ICT community, with proceeds from employees and their organisations funding programs to improve the quality of life of children living with serious illness or disability. In the past 10 years the fund has raised over a staggering $2.5 million nationally.
Living with illness or injury can cause enormous strain in the lives of children and their families. The pain, loneliness and isolation that sick children feel dominates their lives, and they often miss out on normal experiences that healthy children take for granted. Monies raised by the IT Fund for Kids go towards Starlight Children’s Foundation programs to brighten the lives of these seriously ill children and their families.
